Pakistan vs New Zealand first T20 UAE 2009 Preview

Pakistan will take on New Zealand in first T20 in UAE today. Both teams are strong in this format of cricket. Pakistan is a world champion and is having a good run in T20s and New Zealand is also a good T20 team and they have some good matches against good teams.

Pakistan has his strength in bowling specially spinners as they proved pretty difficult to handle in ODIs specially Saeed Ajmal. Pakistan team will be playing under their T20 captain the aggressive Shahid Khan Afridi with some new members for T20 team like Imran Nazir to add fire power. But still batting is a weak link as always even with the presence of some good T20 batsmen they are pron to collapse as has been seen recently but mostly in longer formats.

New Zealand is pretty balanced team, their batting has some exclusive power hitters in form of Brendon McCullum the Baz, Ros Taylor and company and they have company of good discipline bowling. Now count Daniel Vettori the Dan as heir captain main spin bowler late order resistance and match winner who was constantly disturbing Pakistani batsmen during ODIs.

So both teams are pretty much equal at papers as well as in fields for T20s even though Pakistan have some edge in recent outings and their T20 record but well they had that edge in ODIs too but what happened. We are heading toward two sensational back to back T20 games in Dubai Sports city on 12th and 13th of November 2009.

Look for:

Brendon McCullum: the inform NZ opener who is having a great time in UAE.
Ross Taylor: He has a great success in IPL and Champions Leauge but not such at inernational stage but is capable of destroying opposition bowling.

Saeed Ajmal: His off spins and doosras are proving little too hard to handle for NZs recently.
Shahid Afridi: Whenever You put him as Captain he become a different character, responsible, sensible, I am just wondering how?
M. Aamer: He is a super star in making at this tender age. I am loving his bowling at top, oh and now he has something with bat too for us.

Enjoy  it!
